Product description
The best directional freestyle stick for larger gentlemen - the Skunk Ape by Lib Tech
Big riders need light setups. Their snowboards are always large, wide, and long, so a light construction makes a big difference in every terrain. Lib Tech uses the super lightweight Horsepower construction at the Skunk Ape for the best possible strength-to-weight ratio. The most important thing, however, is that toe and heel drag of even the largest boots disappears.
Riding Style
This extra-wide board is suited for large riders who want to take their freestyle riding to the whole mountain. Its directional twin shape offers more float in the powder, while its lightweight construction supports freestyle park riding.
Shape
This directional twin offers you extra float in powder and excellent switch-riding capabilities. With the setbacks of the bindings towards the tail, the nose is slightly longer. However, both the nose and the tail are equally wide, so landing switch poses no issue. The Magne-Traction® serrated edges provide great edge hold across the mountain, especially on hard-packed snow and ice.
Profile
The C2X profile has a rocker between the bindings and radial cambers underneath them. The combination offers good edge hold thanks to the camber underfoot, great float in powder, and unlimited freestyle action without hang-ups.
Flex
The medium-stiff flex provides a lively board that lets you stay in control at all speeds and pop over everything.
Construction
The 'Horsepower Construction' (HP) is lighter than the 'Original Power Construction' (OP), more environmentally friendly due to bio beans and basalt fibre use, and provides an exceptionally smooth ride. The Aspen and Paulownia wood core is sturdy with plenty of pop. The topsheet is made from organic sublimated beans, while the sintered base is remarkably fast but requires careful maintenance.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
