Product description
The whole mountain is your jib park!
Have fun to ride anything, anywhere, anytime with the Box Scratcher Snowboard. Do you like to snowboard? So does Jesse Burtner! That’s why LIBTech made him this good time party board that lasts him a long time. Whether jibbing a refrigerator, hand planting a stegosaurus, whirling like a dervish, or surfing an air current like a beautiful plastic bag through a desolate parking lot, the Box Scratcher has you covered. It comes with a true twin shape and a sintered base which offers you tons of speed. The Biaxial laminates provide you massive pop – perfect for the streets if you don´t want to waste any time with kicker building. It allows you to Ollie super high and provides you with stability for your landings. Ride it and rock your sessions.
Riding Style
Pro’s use the Box Scratcher as their favorite jib stick, while its forgiving shape makes this board more than perfect to make your first turns on a snowboard.
Shape
This snowboard comes in a Twin Freestyle shape. Tip and tail are of equal length and width combined with a centered radial sidecut. The snowboard rides equally well in both directions with a focus on jib, freestyle, park, powder and pipe. The Magne-Traction serrated edges give great edge hold all over the mountain, especially on hard pack and ice. They turn ice into powder.
Profile
Original banana technology BTX means rocker between your feet combined with a flat to mild camber out to the contact points on tip and tail. Easy riding and turning, great jibbing and epic float in pow with full contact and control in all conditions.
Flex
The soft/medium flex of the Box Scratcher gives the board a playful feel ready for jibbing and freestyle trickery, while still being stable at high speeds.
Construction
The original power construction OP is a very lightweight, environmentally nice and strong construction design of Lib Tech. The core consists of a strong Aspen spine with Columbian Gold on either side, giving you a strong and light core with a crisp pop. Bi-ax and Tri-Ax glass surrounds the wood core and adds the needed stiffness and durability. Birch Internal Sidewalls are placed along the sidewall of your board to add board control to the sandwich construction. Stronger, more pop, and more control. The sintered Base is compression hardened amorphous UHMW skived from the billet to create the toughest, fastest, best wax holding base material around. Slides best and fastest when waxed regularly to match local snow conditions. The UHMW Sintered Sidewalls are a Lib Tech innovation. Twice as sintered as any other sidewall. Tough, fast, hard, waterproof, handsome and light. NO TOXIC ABS! Due to the edges, which do not go throughout at tip and tail, these areas are protected by a 'UHMW Tip/Tail impact deflection' system to avoid damage. Finally, the Eco Sublimated Poly Topsheet features a tough and eco-sublimated layer to complete the construction.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
