Lib Tech Lost Retro Ripper 161 2023 Snowboard
MATT BIOLOS' RETRO SURFER FOR THE WHOLE MOUNTAIN WITH UPDATE
The Lib Tech x Lost Retro Ripper comes with a classic swallowtail shape with beautiful modern lines and technologies. The long nose offers a lot of float in powder. The stable C3 camber profile in combination with the Swallowtail enables deep, smooth turns anywhere on the mountain and in all snow conditions. This year, the shape of the Retro Ripper has been adapted. It now comes with a new deep elliptical sidecut, making it a true carving machine.
This board is actually not retro, but timeless.
Riding style
Snow surfing for advanced riders. This board is perfect for you if you're always on the hunt for pristine powder slopes and deep carving turns.
Shape
The tapered directional shape is perfect for all-mountain and freeriding. The nose is longer and wider than the tail for controlled turns in any terrain. The additional setback of the bindings gives the board a lot of uplift in powder. The Swallowtail reduces the overall surface area of the board without affecting the length. Perfect for fast, lively and controlled turns.
Profile
The C3 profile is a classic camber profile with subtle rocker between the bindings. This provides precise edge control from nose to tail and maximum stability for high airs and landings. The mild rocker makes the board a bit more playful and offers more uplift than conventional camber profiles.
Flex
The medium-stiff flex ensures precise control and fast board response.
Construction
The Original Power Construction OP+ is a very lightweight, environmentally friendly and durable construction design from Lib Tech. The core made of 75 % aspen and 25 % paulownia wood is robust and provides you with a lot of pop. Bi-ax and tri-ax fibreglass give the board the necessary stiffness. The Eco Sublimated Poly Topsheet is sustainably produced and recycled material was also used for the UHMW Sidewalls. To make sure your board suffers less from impacts in the park, it is protected by the UHMW Tip/Tail Impact Deflection. The sintered base is very fast, but requires careful maintenance.
Subject to alterations according to the manufacturer. Image is non-binding.
Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
