Chronic 171 + Griffon 13 ID 2022 Ski Set - All-Mountain/Freestyle and Powder Set

The Chronic was developed for the all-mountain freestyle sector. With over a decade of experience in the game, the Chronic's versatile turn shape allows you to turn the mountain into your terrain park. This award-winning ski offers a poppy ride that makes it just as tough on hard big-line jumps as it is on smooth all-mountain descents.

Riding style
An all-mountain freestyle/powder ski for advanced riders. Shape, design, profile and construction have been specially tuned to deliver the best performance in powder. At the same time it is still playful enough for freestyle riding in the backcountry, no matter if high cliffs, kickers and switch landings in powder. If you are drawn to the piste from time to time, he won't let you down here either.

Shape
This ski comes with a Directional Twin shape, the nose is a few millimetres wider than the tail, with a central binding position. Thus the ski offers you the same skiing characteristics forward and switch. However, thanks to the slightly wider nose you get a little more uplift in fresh snow. With the 5-Cut™ geometry, five radii are incorporated into the lateral shape of the ski. This makes the ski easy to release from the turn and gives you excellent gliding and turning characteristics.

Profile
The bend of this ski is basically a classic camber with subtle early rise in tip and tail. The result is a fun and reactive ski that allows precise turns and is flexible, even on difficult landings.

Flex
The soft/medium flex makes the ski very flexible, perfect for butter tricks and tweaks. While there is also enough pop to allow for a controlled ride.

Construction
The Capwall™ construction comes with a cap construction in tip and tail and with a sidewall under the binding. This combination offers the precise riding feel of a sidewall construction and the high stability of a cap construction. The Maple Macroblock™ consists of two maple stringers surrounded by aspen wood for added strength and durability. The 30 % thicker Fatty Base & Edge™ is a 2 mm wide x 2.5 mm high edge and a 1.7 mm thick base. This drastically increases the durability and life of the ski.

Griffon 13 ID Binding
The Marker Griffon is one of the most versatile freestyle/freeride bindings on the market. The Griffon Binding is suitable for most skiers thanks to its wide DIN range and excellent performance. The centered swing weight and compact design makes the Griffon 13 ID ideal for freestyle moves of all kinds.

About Line

#morefunner - do we need to say more? Line took the freeski market by storm as early as 1995, picking up on the desire among skiers to simply have more fun. They saw the need for twin tip skis, and set about making it a reality. They have been on top of their game since day one and it comes as no surprise that they are backed up by one of the most star-spangled freeride and freestyle teams on the market.
