Experience freeriding from a new perspective
For riders who have their sights set on massive snowfall and endless powder runs, the Blade Optic 114 has everything you need to answer that call. Featuring Gas Pedal Metal Overdrive™ technology combined with a refined rocker profile and functional mid-width, the Blade Optic 114 delivers outstanding performance and a super stable feel in the deepest pow.
Riding style
A freeride/powder ski for advanced and expert skiers. Shape, design, profile and construction have been specially tuned to deliver the best performance in powder. Maximum lift and manoeuvrability for deepest snow, whether forward or switch.
Shape
With the Directional Shape the nose is slightly wider than the tail. The bindings and the sidecut are slightly set back towards the tail. This increases the stability at higher speeds and the uplift in powder. With the 5-Cut™ geometry, five radii are incorporated into the lateral shape of the ski. For an intuitive riding experience.
Profile
This ski comes with a classic camber under the binding and a rocker in the nose and tail areas. This keeps the ski extremely manoeuvrable in powder and gives it an enormous uplift. The camber offers you good edge hold and fast power transmission.
Construction
The Capwall™ construction comes with a cap construction in tip and tail and with a sidewall under the binding. This combination offers the precise riding feel of a sidewall construction and the high stability of a cap construction. The Aspen Veneer core is a blend of aspen stringers that provide light weight and good pop. The 30 % thicker Fatty Base & Edge™ is a 2.2 mm wide x 2.5 mm high edge and a 1.7 mm thick base. This drastically increases the durability and life of the ski. Gas Pedal Metal™ is a titanium insert across the width of the ski that increases edge grip and torsional stiffness while giving the ski a lively feel.
Subject to alterations according to the manufacturer. Image is non-binding.
Freeskis are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new skis should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.

About Line
#morefunner - do we need to say more? Line took the freeski market by storm as early as 1995, picking up on the desire among skiers to simply have more fun. They saw the need for twin tip skis, and set about making it a reality. They have been on top of their game since day one and it comes as no surprise that they are backed up by one of the most star-spangled freeride and freestyle teams on the market.
