THE GNU TEAM'S CHOICE FOR FREESTYLE PROGRESSION ALL OVER THE MOUNTAIN
The asymmetric Gnu Velvet is the snow sensai of the mountains. With this multi-talent, nothing can stop you. Pop, uplift and carving with an elegance that's second to none, no matter what terrain you're riding. The intuitive asymmetrical geometry ensures you don't tire quickly and get more out of your day.
Riding style
All-mountain/freestyle for advanced riders. You want to have fun all over the mountain? This board does it all, from kickers and rails in the park, to deep powder in the backcountry.
Shape
The True Twin shape is perfectly symmetrical for a balanced ride that's equally versatile when ridden forward or switch. The Magne-Traction® technology provides improved edge hold with serrated edges. Especially on icy slopes they unfold their full potential. The asymmetrical sidecut has a smaller radius on the heel side and a larger one on the toe side. This makes turns on the heel side easier and also more controllable.
Profile
The C2 profile comes with a rocker between the bindings combined with a camber under the bindings. This combination offers a good edge hold thanks to the camber areas, as well as good lift and unlimited freestyle action without catching an edge thanks to the rocker.
Flex
The medium flex is ideal for the all-mountain design of this board. Hard enough for powerful turns but still soft enough for a playful ride.
Construction
The Asym G Lite 2 construction is an environmentally friendly and durable construction design from Gnu. The core of aspen and paulownia wood is asymmetrically constructed, light, sustainable, robust and poppy. Bi- and triaxial fibreglass surrounds the wood core and provides the necessary stiffness and durability. The Eco Sublimated PolyTopsheet has been sustainably produced. The sintered base is fast and stays that way if you take care of it.
Subject to alterations according to the manufacturer. Image is non-binding.
Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.

About Gnu
Gnu have been around since the birth of snowboarding, claiming weird, open minded experimentation to be their job. They have worked with mysterious materials, bizarre geometries, contours and board shapes, far out art and colors, odd terrain and freakish riders to create fantastic progressive snowboards that have helped take snowboarding to wild and magical places. A brand we are happy to call one of the family.
