Since 2005 the World Rookie Tour is the most famous, largest and oldest youth international action sport series. With events world wide, it gathers more than 2.500 riders in snowboard, freeski and, from summer 2019, skateboard.
The Tour concept is very easy: the top 3 skaters from each national qualification event will get a spot in the World Rookie Skateboard Finals, where the annual World Rookie Champion title will be awarded, together with incredible prizes. Also every nation is entitled to send its best 3 youngster and as well the top rider in the World Rookie Ranking will be admitted to the finals.

Age Groups and qualifying criteria

All contests in the World Rookie Tour will generate valuable results for the World Rookie Rank. Not only events the World Rookie Fest can be part of the Skateboard Rookie Rank. Any event can be part of the Skateboard Rookie Rank as long as grom – and rookie aged riders participate as well. For example, the European Best Foot Forward Tour by Blue-Tomato, featuring 10 stops all over Europe, for riders of all ages in one group, is already part of the Skateboard Rookie Rank.
World Rookie Tour consists of a selection of high quality International events, which are not only competitions, but also features loads of other activities to help youngsters to grow in the field of professional sport, such as workshops, photo & video shootings, meetings with photographers and international team managers, ticket to the best action sports events, parties and English talks.
World Rookie Tour is dedicated to providing the young action sport riders with the best possible opportunities to progress their competitive experience and their career. Through the last 16 years, the Black Yeti discovered the strongest snowboarders and freeskiers in the world, X-Games medalists and many Olympic riders. Now the time has come for the World Rookie Tour Skateboard to offer this unique opportunity to the best young skaters all around.
Since its first edition in 2019, the World Rookie Tour Skateboarding provides the perfect opportunity for all the young skaters who participate in the super finals to earn invitations to the most prestigious events on the international skate scene such as the Simple Session, the Mystic Sk8 Cup and to be invited in a one-in-the-life Red Bull Experience.

World Rookie Tour Skateboard come back with old and new events, to discover the best talents all around the world. There will be a solid Global Tour with stops in Germany, Romania, Moldavia, Finland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Greece, Italy, Great Britain, Switzerland, Portugal. The big news for 2023 is a new location for the World Rookie Skateboard Finals: the end of season final will be hosted in Prague, Czech Republic, at the legendary Mystic Skatepark and will be held on 6 and 7 October 2023. Here we will crown the new World Rookie Champions and awards incredible prizes.
