The Mega Mercury has landed
Still relatively new to the Capita collection, the Mega Mercury is primed to explore every last corner of the resort alongside you. Inspired by the legendary Mercury, it boasts all the advancements in technology. From an FSC® certified 3D thermopolymer Starship Core™ made with ultra-light post-consumer recycled plastic to an incredibly light Skin™ topsheet, it offers the ideal balance of performance and weight. Designed for power when you desire it and float when the need arises, the Mega Mercury is the all-mountain snowboard you can depend on.
The Mega Mercury is handcrafted in Austria at the first snowboard production facility powered by 100 % renewable energy.
Riding style
All-mountain riding for experienced and advanced riders – looking to have a great time across the mountain? This board can tackle everything from side hits at the edge of the piste to powder runs in the backcountry and carving turns.
Shape
With the directional shape, the nose is slightly longer than the tail. The bindings and the sidecut are slightly offset to the back. This increases the stability at higher speeds and the uplift in powder.
Profile
The Resort V2 profile combines a classic camber between the bindings with a rocker in tip and tail. The rocker increases the uplift in powder. The camber offers you good edge hold and fast power transmission on hard slopes.
Flex
The medium-stiff flex ensures precise control and fast board response.
Construction
The FSC® certified 3D Starship Thermopolymer Core™ is produced using an advanced electronic sorting system. Through this system, premium poplars can be sorted with reforestation poplars according to weight and grain. This ensures a constant flex. Adding bonded, recycled thermopolymer channels turns the Starship Core™ into an advanced hybrid core that gives you incredible pop. The Hybrid Holysheet™ Tri/Tri Megacarbon™ fibreglass offers an ingenious weave of fibreglass and carbon for even less weight. It was built with high-performance, plant-based Magic Bean™ resin for powerful and dynamic driving behaviour. The Megadrive™ XT Base has specially developed additives. Designed for absolute speed junkies.
