Protect Our Winters Austria has made it its mission to use the topic of outdoor sports to raise awareness about climate change and to motivate people to take action.
The principle is: progress instead of perfection. The organization aims to improve the outdoor sports scene from within and to work together with all stakeholders on solutions. In 2025, Protect Our Winters will celebrate its 10th anniversary in Austria – and with the POW Tour it is drawing nationwide attention to the urgency of ambitious climate action. In addition to an introduction to the organization and exciting facts about climate change in the Alps, films from the POW Creative Alliance will be shown and discussions with various representatives of the outdoor sports community will be held.
