I am a flatground / curb skateboarder from rough grounds of Finland. This wheel would have been a life changer growing up as you can maintain speed and skate more normally in rough conditions. This comes from Powell Peraltas new formula, because it is very fast at returning to its shape. Due to this you can powerslide this wheel easier on rougher grounds than very smooth ones.
I really liked this wheel for manuals on rougher spots, straight flat tricks felt similar, slappygrinds worked. However, I could not make it work for varialheels and hardflips. It was significantly more effortful for shove its to make the scoop work. These adjustments can be made in a day of skating the wheel, which is epic. I want to skate more on it, but in Helsinki the grounds are pretty good so I choose 97a formula X over the Dragon Wheels.
This wheel and Formula X 97a and 99a are the most advanced wheels at the moment. Pick and choose! Take in to consideration where you are going to skate.
