Size chart for Rome - Men Snowboards

The Rome Mountain Division is a high-tech board for demanding carving- and freeride specialists

The Mountain Division from Rome is designed for riders who demand a powerful all-mountain freeride board for challenging terrain and maximum speed. Whether it snows or not, the innovative Camber shaping and the targeted placement of proprietary carbon-TurboRods create a ride that floats through the powder, blasts through the chop and digs deep ruts on the groomers. A positive camber, fully-powered tail lets you pop off and stomp cliffs with confidence.

Riding Style
All-mountain/freeride for advanced level riders - This aggressive board is perfect for experienced riders looking for a versatile deck for high-speed turns on the slopes and in the backcountry. No matter the terrain or snow condition, this is your everyday resort and backcountry performer.

Shape
The nose of the directional shape is slightly longer than the tail. The bindings and the sidecut are slightly set back towards the tail. This increases stability at higher speeds and the float in powder.

Profile
The Free-The-Ride Camber profile features a positive camber in the tail, a flat section at the front binding, and a rocker in the nose. The positive camber section offers pop and edge control. The flat section allows for a fast and effortless turn initiation. The rocker in the nose increases the float in pow.

Flex
The stiff flex provides stability at high speeds and insane amounts of control while offering you the power and flexibility you need to stomp big moves.

Construction
The Airpop Core Matrix features the responsive “pop” of poplar laminates with five integrated zones of ultra-light wood to reduce weight. TurboRods bring a new approach to loading ollies and building pop. Rome starts by milling channels into the board’s core, then they insert carbon rods that rest freely inside sleeves with a single point of attachment. The rod is anchored only towards the centre area of the board, leaving the outside tip of the rod to flex freely inside the sleeve. This means the TurboRods engage the tip and tail of the board to load maximum spring, creating a more active flex pattern and effectively self-dampening after pop occurs. The Sinterspeed Base is super fast. Ideal for gliding in cold powder and for hitting takeoffs at the right speed. The BuzzKill Technology reduces chatter and vibrations. To do so, Rome milled radiating channels in the core at the nose, and inlay elastomeric dampening material.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.

About Rome

Rome SDS lives and breathes snowboarding and has done so since day one. Seeking to reestablish the true roots of snowboarding, Rome kicked off production is 2001. Their goal was to create a brand that "lives the values of snowboarding and innovates products that increase the one thing that matters most in snowboarding: fun." They have overshot their goal by miles, and as true snowboarders at heart, we are stoked to have them as a part of our team.
