Product description
Prepare yourself for the most addictive carving experience of your life, with the Amplid Pentaquark
Pilot the Pentaquark for a handful of runs and you’ll experience ear-to-ear grins and brain-melting speeds. But be careful, strong withdrawal symptoms and crushing dissatisfaction with your current snowboard set-up are inevitable. Its hi-tech construction, energy-loaded camber profile, the very stiff flex and long, blade-like effective edges turn the Pentaquark into a high-speed carving monster.
Riding Style
A high-speed carving board for experts. If you like to perfect your carving turns and are always looking for the fastest line on the mountain, this is the right board for you. Best performance for highest speeds on a pro-level.
Shape
A Tapered Directional board is the best for all-mountain, freeriding and carving. The nose is a bit wider than the tail, giving you plenty of control in any terrain. The stance is set back towards the tail, increasing the length of the nose. This helps you to float above the pow.
Profile
The Pop Camber is a burly man-camber, designed for maximum edge hold and explosive pop. Pop Camber is best suited to high-end shreds where performance is paramount. It’s hard work to ride well, but being slingshot out of carves and launched high above the coping is all the reward you’ll ever need
Flex
The stiff flex provides stability at high speeds and insane amounts of control.
Construction
The Lite Core is made of uber light wood varieties are cut, treated and aligned in a way only our factory knows. Its strength to weight ratio has scientist baffled. The Hexo2 Core Technology replaces specific areas of weightier wood at the tips with featherlight recycled paper honey-comb, practically eliminating swing weight. Amplid’s Antiphase damping technology, placed in front of the inserts, sucks-up bumps and tones-down vibrations in the nose. Using Biaxial Glass in the construction of our shreds gives them a flawless blend of response and playful-ness whilst keeping them ridiculously lightweight All-Terrain Tips are smooth kick radius and fuller tip outline improves deep snow floatation without adding swing weight. The Sintered 7 HD Base is Amplid’s ultra-high density sintered base goes like shit-off-a-shovel in all snow conditions. It is extremely hard and therefore more resistant to damage.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
