Make Life Skate Life
Make Life Skate Life (MLSL) is an NGO on a mission to make skateboarding accessible to underserved youth worldwide. Since 2013, they've been building skateparks and developing skate programs that go beyond the sport itself – fostering physical and mental health, strengthening communities, and creating local jobs. Today, their projects give 5,000 young people access to skateboarding every week, including girls, refugees, and youth from all kinds of backgrounds. The goal: communities that build and sustain their own skate culture, independently and on their own terms.
New skatepark in Kiteezi
Make Life Skate Life in collaboration with the local organization Climate Skaters Kiteezi (Uganda) organized all aspects of the skatepark project. MLSL did the fundraising and provided the entirety of the funding. A total of 11 international and 15 local build volunteers worked side by side during a period of 5 weeks to construct a 450 m² skatepark. The opening day was 7 February 2026 and the surface of the skatepark 450m². The project was made possible in part by € 5,737.54 raised through the Blue Tomato x The Dudes Go Skateboarding Day 2025 T-shirt. A heartfelt thank you to The Dudes and everyone who bought the shirt – you made this happen!
