Smith Squad XL Blackout(+Bonus Lens) Goggle

I've been riding for many years and in pretty much all conditions and terrain available, so I know what to expect from my goggles. I was looking for clear vision through a wide field of view and high quality lenses, with propper venting so my goggles won't fog up all the time. The fit of the Squad XL is really just that: XL! It fit perfectly, but for someone with a smaller face I would recommend looking at the smaller version of the Squad. It also went perfectly with my Smith helmet. No gaps, no pressure on the nose.

Was able to test the Squad XL in early season conditions with everything from snowfall, to foggy whiteout days and clear skies with glaring sun. The black lens was amazing on sunny days, cutting glare and amplifying contours all over the mountain. Fast adaption from light to shade. Probably the best Cat. 3 lens I had so far. The rose flash lens for me was a game changer in low light, foggy conditions. I was able to see such a high level of detail in the snow. ChromaPop really does the trick. Only slight downside to the Squad is the lens changing system. Takes a while to swap the lens, even after you get used to it.

Overall I am more than happy with the Smith Squad, because you get two very high quality lenses with a frame that allows for a wide field of view and perfect venting, so you never get fogging on the inside of your goggles. I would recommend this to everyone looking for a goggle that they can take everywhere, have perfect vision in all conditions and don't need a quick changing system for their lenses.
