ABS Carbon Cartridge
The ABS carbon cartridge offers the same high-speed gas release system and safety as the steel cartridge but at about half the weight. This creates much greater comfort, especially on longer tours. The special carbon coating ensures durability even under the most extreme conditions. The cartridge can inflate the 150-litre ABS airbag in less than 3 seconds and is an integral part of a system that prevents the skier from being completely submerged in the event of an avalanche.
The ABS system has already saved 70 lives and more.
It is essential safety equipment for alpine activities, on and off the slopes. The activation handle holds a detonator that activates the cartridge. The capsule can only be used once. However, the handle can be refilled and thus reused. Off to the adventure!
