Adidas Stan Smith
Adidas Stan Smith Sneakers – straight outta court to the streets
Sneaker styles come and go, but there are some which are so timeless that they survive decades. The adidas Originals Stan Smith is one of the few to have achieved this. Designed in 1971 as a shoe for tennis legend Stan Smith, “the man himself”, the stylish sneaker quickly spread over from the tennis court to the streets. Since the 90s, the shoe could be seen more and more frequently as an integral part of Hip-Hop culture and therefore developed to a true sneaker legend.
From the superstar to the legend
The Stan Smith uses the classic design of the adidas Superstar, which was released two years before, but loses the rubber toe cap. As a member of the adidas Originals family, the iconic three stripes are not missing, they are subtly punched into the side as series of holes. The low-top sneakers are available in a huge variety of colours, whether it’s the classic white or the colourful “Adicolor” special edition. A real must have are the Stan Smith monochrome styles, which come in one colour from shoe laces to sole. The materials and designs may vary, e.g. there are styles with lacing or hip velcro, but for sure everyone finds his favourite among all those unique Stan Smith styles.
Adidas Originals Stan Smith – a true oldschool classic
The Adidas Stan Smith is not just a classic, it is a true sneaker legend. And legends never die – at least the Stan Smith Sneakers have proven so. The former tennis shoe has established itself not only on the streets but has arrived in the sneaker scene with its more than honorable history.
Classic. Clean. Comfortable – that is the Adidas Originals Stan Smith.
