Precision skating made perfect

As I always try to keep my board as lightweight as possible, which really helps me in street skating, I went from normal Thunder trucks to Hollow Lights. You might think that that does not make a lot of a difference, but it actually does.
I am 177 cm with a normal posture. Together with my passion for skating ledges, bump to bumps and hips, I chose the 147's for an 8.0/8.125 board. For me that is the perfect size as I do not want the board to be too heavy, but I also want to have enough space to position my feet. The trucks align perfectly with the board sizes I ride (which is 8.0 or 8.125).
I never like skating with new trucks: they are slippery, not broken in yet and you slide of the ledge easily. But the Thunder Hollow Lights broke in super fast. What I love about the trucks is that they react directly. If I bend a little to turn, they react as fast as I want to. It makes the trucks reliable and feels like precision skating made perfect. They are actually super light and make me ollie higher obstacles. The only disadvantage I can think of is that I have wheel bite really fast. I like to skate my trucks loose, so I do not have to do much to turn. But that also gives me wheel bite really easily. You can try to tighten your trucks a bit more if that really is a problem. Or try harder bushings, but I like mine medium.
All together, these trucks are my personal favorite. They do exactly what I want. I feel very comfortable on these trucks and the way they react. They actually made me more secure on my board. Besides the wheel bites, I can not imagine another disadvantage of these trucks. If you like lightweight and precision, these Thunder trucks are a real recommendation. Get some harder bushings if you get annoyed by the wheel bites; even though that is something you can hardly get rid of with any kind of truck.
