Burton meets Nychos – board sports meets street art

The Burton X Nychos Process snowboard ingeniously combines snowboarding and artwork. In collaboration between Burton and street artist Nychos, a board has been created that not only offers the usual top technical features of Burton snowboards, but also embodies balance, movement and flow in its visual design. Performance meets deep storytelling. What's more, this model is already the 2027 version of the Burton Process – exclusively available at Blue Tomato and as a limited edition with only 180 pieces.

In addition to creative artwork, this special edition snowboard combines low weight with maximum pop and freestyle playfulness – ideal for small side hits, butters or a spontaneous powder line. With the Process, the whole mountain becomes your playground. It's slightly softer than the Burton Custom and offers you a forgiving, responsive ride with PurePop Camber and sustainable construction.

Riding style
Mark McMorris' favourite board, it's made for snowboarders who want freedom: light, playful and yet stable when it counts. Ideal for intermediate and advanced riders looking for a freestyle-oriented all-mountain board.

Shape
The Twin Shape is perfectly symmetrical, ensuring identical riding characteristics when riding regular and switch. Pro-Tip reduces swing weight at the nose and tail for easier spins and smooth transitions.

Profile
The PurePop Camber profile is based on classic camber pre-tension, complemented by flat zones outside your feet for more pop and playful response. Early Rise at the tip and tail ensures an edge-free ride during spins and landings.

Flex
The medium flex hits the sweet spot between playfulness and stability. Butters and presses are easy to pull off without the board floating away during landings or high-speed runs.

Construction
Inside the Process 2027 is a lightweight, high-performance wood core that saves weight while still offering plenty of snap. Triax fibreglass provides a playful but controlled torsional flex – ideal for jumps, rails and quick edge changes. The sintered base is fast, absorbs wax well and can easily withstand many park laps.
Frostbite Edges give you extra edge hold underfoot, especially in hard or icy conditions. Squeezebox core technology distributes your power efficiently across the entire board. The results: more pop, better board control and a smoother ride. The Channel® mounting system allows for fine-tuned, clean binding mounting and is compatible with all standard bindings.


Nychos' story "behind the graphic"
Nychos' artwork symbolises Kundalini Rising, i.e. the awakening and rising of inner power to the crown chakra – expressed artistically and visually balanced. With Kundalini Rising, Nychos opens a view into the invisible. Known for his anatomical insights, he also here reveals layer after layer and connects anatomy, spirit and energy in an impressive way. The design visualizes the energetic process of spiritual awakening.
