A bit disappointed

I am a huge fan of Ed Templeton, I've bought at least +half a dozens of Toy Machine boards and I am super happy if he and Blue Tomato make a living out of their honest and well-deserved trading and commitment to the board game, BUT I HAVE TO SAY: I've bought 3 Toy Machines, not in a row but pretty close (let's say from 2019 to 2023) and the quality of the wood really dropped dramatically. The last board (this one), bought on my lovely bluetomato.com (Ich wirklich liebe Euch, Jungs!) didn't resist a simple sw fs shove during an easy S.K.A.T.E. game with the fellas last weekend, after 3 weeks of service (effective days of using it: prolly 4, and for 2-3 hours each, total 12 hours in the best case) and just flatground (with rails yes, but not even a single try of flip-to-rail, just flatbars slidings and grindings and a small rail in descent but really, no particular stress). Felt the first cracking with a nollie flip, landed a bit on the nose but on flatground, the first day (I underline: I don't use any pads or whatever the can weaken the board's structure, I treat boards carefully to last long, I am doing skateboard for +20 years), and then I knew the board was soon to break. I know this product would still have been under warranty, but c'mon, I am a skateboarder since so long and I accept a board breaking after 21 days. But I'm putting myself in the shoes of a young boy, prolly spending +60€ for this Ed's board, killer graphics, and being flat-tired after two-three weeks... c'mon!! I also had a Flip board collapsing in a few days after a Summer I was collecting funds for it, but c'mon Ed... what does the Canadian maple's badge stands for? Don't go too much deep into China production cuz this is penalizing your business and image of Toy Machine in the first place. Peace to you all, still love Toy and what it had done for the culture!
Hilfreich?
