A hood must keep you warm in the water and dry fast on the shore for your next session. That is what this one does! I tried size L and XL and found that I find more comfort in the XL. I don't like it when something is tight around my neck, luckily the XL gives me this space to move around. With the elastic cord on the outside, it is easy to tighten the hood around your face without tightening on your neck.
The water temperature is 6 - 8 degrees Celsius in the Netherlands. It seems cold but the soft lining on the inside of the hood will make sure to keep you warm. The seems on the inside are taped so there is no water coming through, the rubber neoprene outside protects you against strong cold winds and the sealing in the neck also works well, one side inside your wetsuit and the other outside will keep most water out!
No more brain freeze when duckdiving and a dry and warm hood when changing the next morning for another session!
