Ortovox Pordoi Jacket
Robust, breathable softshell jacket with loden inserts for sporty tours
The Pordoi Jacket for men is made for demanding ascents and fast descents, no matter what the weather does. Thanks to the innovative C-Change membrane from SCHOELLER®, the premium softshell jacket reacts to perspiration with special moisture and temperature management: When it's cold, the membrane closes - but as soon as the body heats up, the pores open and regulate the temperature. The mesh lining on the chest pockets and ventilation zips under the arms bring additional ventilation, while fine merino wool on the inside ensures a pleasant feeling against the skin. The membrane-lined loden inserts also protect the chin area from wind and weather. With the Pordoi Jacket for men, you are perfectly equipped for even the most demanding tours and can enjoy your winter adventures to the full.
Swisswool
Swisswool has excellent thermal properties and optimum climate comfort. In addition to its high functionality, Swisswool is characterised by its regional origin and its sustainable wool production and processing. At the collection points in sometimes very remote valleys, Swisswool also guarantees a fair price for raw wool. After weighing, the raw wool is washed and processed within Europe, taking into account the shortest possible transport routes. Ortovox then ensures the unique design and functionality in the manufacture of the final product.
Merino wool
Merino wool has been an integral part of Ortovox mountain wear since 1995. Wool is ecological by nature and therefore particularly sustainable. Their merino wool comes from happy sheep from controlled, species-appropriate animal husbandry that is regularly inspected. Due to its small fibre diameter, merino wool is extremely soft and comfortable on the skin. It ensures an optimal body climate as it regulates moisture and temperature and also neutralises unpleasant odours.
Ortovox Wool Promise
Merino wool has been an integral part of Ortovox mountain wear since 1995. The focus is always on the protection of people, animals and nature: the merino wool comes from selected farms that produce according to the brand's own wool standard Ortovox Wool Promise (OWP). Under the OWP, sheep farms are subject to regular audits to ensure that the highest standards of animal welfare are maintained. The OWP is Ortovox's commitment to fair wool.
