    Product description

A new lightweight pow slayer from Christy Barrett

The Barrett Split is completely new and comes from the pen of snowboard legend Christy Barrett. The directional shape, combined with a powerful C3 camber profile, guarantees best edge hold for carving and maximum pop. The wide nose offers maximum floatation in powder, while the lightweight core ensures effortless ascents. Carbon Power Bands and Karakoram Ultra Clips round off this pow slayer.

    Riding style
All-mountain/freeride for advanced female riders. This board is perfect for hard climbs and steep descents. It offers plenty of floatation in deep powder and reliable performance and stability in challenging terrain.

    Shape
With the directional shape the nose is slightly longer than the tail. The bindings and the sidecut are slightly offset to the back. This increases the stability at higher speeds and the lift in powder. Directional Progressive Pro Magne Traction® technology is a combination of a standard sidecut from the nose to the middle of the board and serrated edges from the middle to the tail. This provides a smooth ride at the front of the board and a powerful, grippy edge hold in the tail. Similar to the fins of a surfboard.

    Profile
The C3 profile is a classic camber profile with subtle rocker between the bindings. This provides precise edge control from nose to tail and maximum stability for high airs and landings. The mild rocker makes the board a bit more playful and offers more uplift than conventional camber profiles.

    Flex
The medium-stiff flex ensures precise control and fast board response.

    Construction
The core is 95 % lightweight paulownia with Aspen and carbon stringers for pop and reinforcement. Bi- and triaxial fibreglass surrounds the wood core and provides the necessary stiffness and durability. The topsheet is made from eco-sublimated organic beans. The sintered base is very fast and stays that way if you take good care of it. The Carbon Power are strategically placed strips along the wood core that provide more support and stability. Karakoram Ultra Clips complete the construction of the Barrett.
