Product description
Armada's ultimate big-mountain powder ski
As one of Armada’s co-founders, Tanner Hall, continues to push the boundaries of skiing from urban to powder, the Armada Magic J remains his go-to ski for deep snow conditions. Utilizing a tip and tail rocker and a stiffer flex pattern, the Magic J remains predictable and confident in tight terrain and stable enough big mountain powder lines. The Magic J will crush trees, pillows, steep lines, and the deepest snow.
Riding Style
A freeride/powder ski for advanced level riders. Shape, design, profile, and construction have been specially designed to deliver the best performance in powder. Maximum flotation and maneuverability for deepest snow.
Shape
This ski comes with a directional twin shape, the nose is a few millimeters wider than the tail with a central binding position. Thus, the ski offers the same riding characteristics forward and switch. However, due to the slightly wider nose, you get a bit more float in the soft snow. The 5-point shape has five different widths that make up the sidecut dimensions, which moves the widest point back from the tip and tail. This allows the ski to have a shorter turning radius on hardpack but when in deeper snow the full edge is engaged.
Profile
Armada's EST Freeride Rocker profile comes with a classic camber under the binding, a large rocker area in the tip and a smaller rocker in the tail. The rockered nose improves maneuverability and floatation, while the camber underfoot provides edge hold and response. The rocker in the nose and tail also creates a catch-free, loose feeling.
Flex
The stiff flex provides stability at high speeds and insane amounts of control while offering you the power and flexibility you need to stomp big moves.
Construction
The AR50 Sidewall construction features a Cap construction in the tip and tail with a sidewall underfoot. The Cap construction in the tip and tail reduces the swing weight while the sidewall makes the ski more durable. The S7 Base is durable and requires low maintenance, and comes with a speed additive for quickness. The Poplar Ash Core combines lightweight wood with a higher density, stiffer wood in a horizontal laminate to create an impossibly lively ski that has all the power needed for boosting to new elevations.

Subject to alterations according to the manufacturer. Image is non-binding.
Freeskis are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new skis should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
