Rome Winterland 154
Smooth turns and float for your favourite lines
The whole mountain is your playground and you go snowboarding no matter the conditions. Then the Rome Winterland is exactly your board. On groomers or in the backcountry, with the Winterland, you surf fresh powder as well as you carve slopes. The Winterland is a board that rides on hard snow like on rails and floats in powder when Mother Hulda giving all her best.
Riding Style
This snowboard wants to ride powder and carve. The shape and profile of the board make it perfect for fast runs on hardpack and powder.
Shape
Directional is the classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still giving you plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or condition.
Profile
Free-the-Ride Camber is divided into three zones. Zone 1: from the tail to just in front of the front foot, there is a positive camber. Zone 2: in front of the front foot, there is a section of flat camber. Zone 3: a rocker in the nose. The result is a camber that drives all-mountain freeride performance. The positive camber mid body and tail drive the carving responsiveness and the slashing power. The flat zone that merges into the rockered nose balances powder float with clean turn initiation
Flex
With a medium-hard flex (7/10), the Winterland offers an ideal mix of stability, control and playfulness.
Construction
The SuperPop Core Matrix increases pop and snap with the use of long poplar wood sections combined with three separate zones of low-density wood for adding lightness. The 45/90 Carbon Hybrid Laminate consists of 45° fibres that deliver edge response and power, while the 90° fibres keep the feeling locked and loaded in the freestyle side of things. Added carbon increases pop and is super light. Carbon Double Barrel Turbo Rods are two rods that start under both bindings and extend in straight lines towards the tip and tail. The result is a double dose of straightline pop, and it also increases torsional response to put more kick into the Winterland. The workhorse of base materials, the strong and absorbent SinterTrue Base is the first level of speed generating technology. It provides a healthy dose of speed for bombing groomers, lapping park or beating your friends to your favourite stash.
