Almost Colour Logo 8.125" Skateboard deck

Usually, I ride asymmetrical board shapes for bowl skateparks and cruising around. But, this year I wanted to push myself back into more technical, street-style skating. Despite a relatively large shoe size (US 9), I have a slim build and therefore needed a board that is light enough to easily do fliptricks, but still doesn't sacrifice on performance at the skatepark - this is why I chose the 8.125".

I have been really happy with this deck by ALMOST. The high concave has a great feel when doing tricks. The deck fits my criteria really well and has helped me get back into street skating. For one session, I did slappies and grinds against an extremely sharp and rough stone curb. Despite this, the board came away with only very shallow scratches. The wood on many stakeboards would have chipped or sliced away in these circumstances. This was not the case with my ALMOST deck! If I had to find one fault with it: the graphic is perhaps a little boring. But for the price, I can hardly complain.

In summary, I can wholeheartedly recommend this product to people who are looking for a decent, high-quality deck that doesn't break their budget.

Ich war auf der Suche nach einem neuen Board, einer anderen Marke. Ich selbst fahre eigentlich gerne PlanB oder Magenta Decks, aufgrund der relativ neutralen Concave. Seit Jahren ist meine Standard Deck Größe 8.125", welche perfekt zu meiner Schuhgröße (41-42) passt. Auch die Grafik muss zum Gesamtpaket passen, und die Almost Decks haben mich nun schon eine Zeit lang optisch angesprochen.

Ich habe das Brett in meinem Local Park in Duisburg getestet und es hat erstaunlich gut performt. Aufgrund des High-Concaves lässt es sich extrem leicht flippen und eignet sich somit super für mich als Streetfahrer. Es bringt einiges an Pop mit sich, was die Flip Tricks nochmal einfacher macht. Besonders gut hat mir das erst sehr ungewohnte High-Concave gefallen. Ich bin es nicht gewohnt, dass sich Decks mit so wenig Bewegung im Fuß (zum Beispiel beim Kickflip oder Heelflip) flippen lassen. Das hat mich sehr begeistert und ich werde vermutlich in Zukunft häufiger auf solche Decks zurückgreifen. Auch nach längerem Fahren ist mir bis jetzt noch nichts gechipped und das Board wirkt insgesamt sehr stabil.

Es ist ein sehr solides Board, das sowohl für den Anfänger, also auch den erfahrenen Fahrer geeignet ist. Wer auf der suche nach etwas mehr Pop und Concave ist, ist hier genau richtig!
