No gimmicks performance hybrid

The Shortround is wider and thicker than a high performance shortboard but is way faster and more maneuverable than a beginner board. Thanks to these qualities it bridges the gap between easy riding “cheater” boards and classic performance shortboards. The speed comes from a low entry rocker and wide-ish nose, with a forward wide point and generous concave throughout. The performance comes from a moderate, but not flipped up, tail rocker, a double concave through the fins and the same sort of modern bump squash tail that you would find on a typical contest style, small wave HP shortboard. All combined, it doesn’t look like anything fancy and there are no gimmicks, but some times less is more, and there’s a lot packed into this little board.

Lib Tech surfboards are built with an Eco Isotropic Construction, which has a whole range of advantages! The partly recycled Nitrogenecell foam is strong and completely waterproof, it does not absorb water, even when exposed. The Hexzylon Fiber Foam Skin is impact and ding resistant and allows for smooth riding thanks to vibration absorbing properties. Woven Basalt Fiber is and additive- free mineral fiber with natural dampening properties and increases resistance against impacts. Bio-Matrix Resin has less impact on the environment than common resins and is stronger than expoxy. Sprock Blocks are crush resistant for long lasting performance while Elasto Perimeter Dampening Fibers allow for flex control, precision, and pop. The Foc Adjustable Slot Fin System gives you freedom of choice with regard to the fin choice and fin setup. Finally, the Leash Plug with an Aircraft aluminum pin and lightweight fiber composite cup will make sure your leash is securely attached to the board.
