400 grams lighter than the Free Ranger: Karakoram presents the Ultra Ranger
The Ultra Ranger binding from Karakoram is everything the Free Ranger is, but another 400 grams lighter. It is made for riders who are looking for a binding for everything but whose focus is on snowboarding with a solid board. The Ultra Ranger is extremely responsive but still has a surfy touch. With the Quiver Connector you can ride it on your solid board, with the Connect Split Kit on your splitboard.
Highback
The hard Reactive Highback offers an optimised ratio between stiffness and weight. Thanks to Carbon Nyolite, the Ultra version is even lighter than the regular Reactive Highback. So that you can also enjoy the full benefits of Karakoram technology when splitboarding, the Ultra Ranger has the Dual Ride-Stride Forward Lean. This lets you adjust the highback from walk to ride mode 2.0 in seconds.
Baseplate
The Carbon Nyolite Asymm Chassis offers the best power transmission during the ascent and a lower sidewall on the outside so you can tweak your tricks and enjoy a surfy ride. For a smooth ride, the base has an EVA footbed.
Straps
The AirPod ankle and toe straps are 30 % lighter than regular PU. They prevent pressure points on your boots and keep you firmly in the binding.
