The BOA® Fit System: from the Rocky Mountains to the world
The story of BOA® begins in 2001 in Steamboat, Colorado. Founder Gary Hammerslag – snowboarder, surfer and true pioneer – was convinced that snowboard boots had not yet reached their potential when it came to fit. He started tinkering, and after countless prototypes and test runs, the BOA® Fit System was born: a dial that pulls super-strong laces through low-friction lace guides – dialling in a precise fit in seconds. All configurations are developed in the BOA® Human Performance Fit Lab (HPFL) – a state-of-the-art biomechanics lab at BOA® headquarters in Denver, Colorado. New: the H5 dial
To mark its 25th anniversary, BOA® is bringing a genuine innovation to the mountain: the H5 dial platform can be adjusted in both directions for the first time – tightening and loosening on the slope, without losing your flow. A feature already proven in cycling and alpine skiing has now made its way into snowboard boots.
Turn clockwise to tighten, counter-clockwise to loosen – in increments of under one millimetre. The interface is mirrored and identical on both boots, whether the dial is side-mounted or tongue-mounted. Patented Coiler™ technology automatically takes up excess lace slack, making boot entry significantly faster. The bayonet and cartridge design ensures the dial releases in a controlled way under heavy impact – and can be quickly reinserted afterwards. On top of that, the H5 is made from 40% recycled material.

Single BOA®: the no-fuss all-rounder

Dual BOA®: zonal control, more flexibility
