Even minor scratches and base damage can have an enormously detrimental effect on ski performance. You can easily repair minor base damage yourself after cross-country skiing, downhill skiing or boarding using the following technique.
1.Remove demaged material
Remove any remaining damaged base material using Steel Scraper.
2. Light the repair candle
Drip the liquid repair material onto the damaged spot and allow it to cool completely.
3. Remove excess material
Remove any excess material layer by layer, using the Radial file or Steel Scraper.
4. Brush
Brush out the base with a copper brush.
