Product description
The powerhouse for the park
The park is your terrain? Then the Burton Name Dropper is your board. Tuned for the finest park riding and packed with features you didn't even know existed, the Name Dropper makes your park dreams come true.
Riding style
The Name Dropper is a freestyle board for advanced riders who use the park in all its facets.
Shape
The True Twin shape is perfectly symmetrical for a balanced ride that's equally versatile when ridden forward or switch. The Off-Axis Frostbite edges, located just below your binding, provide incredible edge hold in hard, icy conditions. Full of power when you need it and playful when you don't. Pro-Tip, a bevelled thickness on tip and tail reduces swing weight for easier manoeuvrability.
Profile
An evolution of the classic camber shape, Burton's PurePop Camber features refined flat zones in the foot area to increase pop and add playfulness to the snap and response to the camber. Early Rise sections in tip and tail turn and float easily without catching edge
Flex
The Twin Flex is perfectly symmetrical from tip to tail for versatility whether riding naturally or switch.
Construction
The FSC™ Certified Super Fly 800 g is a lightweight and pop loaded core made from two different wood species. Burton uses vertical layers of alternating soft and hardwood to reduce overall weight without sacrificing strength or performance. The Dualzone EGD design positions the wood grain along the toe and heel edge in two continuous zones that run perpendicular to the rest of the core for consistent edge grip and durability.
The profiled core of the Off-Axis Squeezebox ensures easy board control, more energy and pop. The rider's energy is transferred from underneath his feet to the outside, activating the tip and tail and making the board swingier, more stable and easier to control.
The Triax fibreglass offers versatile flex and responsiveness for everything from mini to mega shred.
The Super Sap® used is a biologically based resin. The sintered base is robust and highly porous for added durability and exceptional wax absorption for improved glide.
The Channel® gives you ultimate control over your stance in a design that is compatible with all popular bindings (not just Burton). With Infinite Ride technology, maximum pop and strength has been generated by 'over-constructing' the board and then mechanically 'breaking it in'. With Infinite Ride, the board retains its flex, pop and board feel from day one to the last, one season at a time.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
