Step On® bindings and boots from Burton, DC, Nitro and Union – Step in. Click in. Snowboard.
Snowboarding without struggling with straps: the Step On® system makes it possible.
Burton developed this technology over five years, setting new standards in comfort and efficiency. Today, DC, Nitro and Union also offer Step On® compatible boots and bindings that follow the same simple principle: step in, click in, ride.
How the Step On® system works
The Step On® system replaces traditional straps with three precise connection points – two at the front and one at the heel. As soon as you step into the binding with your boot, the system automatically locks in and secures the boot to the board. A pull on the heel lever releases the connection. The result: maximum control, direct contact with the board and less time spent in the snow strapping in.
Whether you enjoy leisurely runs or love fast turns, the Step On® system offers a responsive ride and high comfort throughout the day.
Step On® bindings mounting made easy
Installing Step On® bindings is straightforward and similar to mounting traditional systems:
- Place the bindings on your snowboard and align them according to your preferred stance.
- Insert the screws through the discs into the inserts on your board (4x4, 2x4 or The Channel®).
- Tighten the screws evenly and check that they are secure.
- Align the highbacks and check the mechanism – you're ready to hit the slopes.
Cross-brand compatibility
A major advantage of the current Step On® generation is that boots and bindings from Burton, DC, Nitro and Union are compatible with each other. This means that you can combine DC boots with Burton bindings, for example – they are all based on the same interface.
It is important to note that Step On® boots only work with Step On® bindings. Conventional boots or classic bindings are not compatible because they lack the connection points at the toes and heel.
