Elias Elhardt is nothing less than a visionary. And his signature boot, the Formative, is a testament to his fresh perspective and deep commitment to progress. With the goal of reducing the Formative's impact on the environment, DEELUXE and Elias have worked to redesign boot construction without compromising on performance. The Formative's design uses fewer resources and its shell contains Rise by Bloom, which replaces much of the traditional EVA foam. Rise is a bio-based foam derived from algae.

Outer boot
The Backbone is a reinforcement on the back of the boot, which ensures durability, stability and regulates the flex. The Pro Flex construction offers the best combination of secure hold and optimal flex for pure freestyle performance. The Remedy sole has a deep profile and offers good cushioning. This makes it particularly versatile for use on the mountain. The D-Tex membrane is waterproof and breathable, keeping feet warm and dry. The minimalist Jib Tongue is designed primarily for park and urban snowboarding. This particularly thin boot tongue ensures maximum power transmission between boot and binding.

Liner
The Stage 4 liner delivers a precision-cut design and thanks to the heel pocket, the liner hugs the contours of your foot. An additional lace-up harness wraps your foot and provides exceptional heel hold, as well as a quick and secure fit. For added comfort, the Stage 4 liner features a roomier toe box with a four-way stretch material.

Lacing system
The classic lacing cannot only be adjusted with absolute precision, it also offers you the possibility to quickly change your laces if one should break. With the BOA® Fit System, you can adjust your heel hold to the millimetre and strap yourself into the boot bombproof if you want to.
