The Carboslick Decks of the Austrian skateboard-smithy Kape are only 8,5 mm thin. Normal wooden boards consist of 7 layers of maple, Kape only use 4! The rest is carbon, fibreglass and of course a company secret. These high-quality materials keep the pop of the deck forever. By using polyamide, the tail wears off 4 times slower compared to normal skateboards. The design of the Carboslick decks also enables smooth, controlled slides. For this purpose, an ultra-thin topsheet is used, which you normally find on high-end snowboards.
