Almost Skateboards è stata fondata nel 2003 da due tra gli Skaters più creativi e influenti del pianeta: Daewon Song e Rodney Mullen. Da allora, il brand Californiano ha sviluppato i metodi di costruzione classici degli skate portandoli a nuovi livelli, con costruzioni in 7 strati, 8 strati e fibra di carbonio con colle in resine epossidiche. Il risultato sono le tavole più stabili e leggere sul mercato.
Le tavole con costruzione R7 vengono incollate con resina epossidica invece delle normali colle a base acqua. Il risultato è una tavola più leggera con un pop migliore e più duraturo.
