K2 Wayback 82mm Ecore 174 2018 Touring-sukset

The Ski is loaded with clever tech which makes touring a breeze and enables the ski to hold its own when descending. An extra great point about the ski is the ECOre, which not only massively reduces the weight of the ski but also can make your conscience feel good. The core which is 41 % lighter than paulownia, uses FSC certified balsa wood is renewable, grows fast and recyclable. 
 
Riding Style
The Wayback 82 ECOre is one of the narrower skis in the Wayback range, designed as a lightweight touring ski for long ascents, ski mountaineering but will also work in steep and challenging terrain.

Shape 
The ski has 88 mm waist with tapered tips and tails. The 88 mm waist is lightweight and nimble, it is good for skiing on harder snow, it will also give a little floatation in soft snow.  The tapered tips and tails bring the widest point back from the tip and tail which helps with turn initiation and reducing drag in powder.

Profile
The Wayback series uses the All Terrain Rocker, which raises the tip and tail of the skis for less drag when touring, floatation and turn initiation in powder. The camber gives grip for icy skin tracks and hard snow.

Construction 
The Wayback 82 is full of clever technology. The Z-clip skin attachment and the skin grommets are super are for super efficient for touring. The ECOre which mixes balsa and flax fibres for a lightweight and environmentally friendly. Further intelligent features include a carbon web in the shovel and tail of the ski which gives rigidity without adding weight and the hybritech sidewalls combine the grip of vertical sidewalls with the weight saving of cap construction.
