The right skateboard wheels for every skate style

Skateboard wheels vary in size, material and hardness, which is crucial for the handling of your board:

  • Sizes: From 50 to 75 mm. Smaller wheels are great for street skating and tricks because they accelerate faster. Larger wheels offer higher top speeds and are ideal for cruising and longer distances.
  • Hardness: Soft wheels (70-90A) offer more grip and a smoother ride, perfect for uneven surfaces. Harder wheels (90-101A) are better suited to smooth surfaces in skate parks, where slides and grinds are the main focus.

Choosing the right hardness and size for your skateboard wheels

  • Street skateboarding: Harder wheels between 50 and 53 mm are ideal for ensuring good stability when performing tricks.
  • Skateparks and vert skating: Wheels between 54 and 59 mm are ideal for offering a balance between speed and manoeuvrability.
  • Cruising and longboarding: For comfortable cruising and longboarding, soft and larger wheels from 60 mm are recommended, which allow for a dynamic riding experience.

Assembly and maintenance of your skateboard wheels

Attaching your skate wheels is easy. Before assembly, each wheel should be equipped with a spacer between the bearings and speed rings on both sides of the trucks. This ensures that the wheels run smoothly and the bearings are protected. You can find more information in our skateboard wheel buyer's guides, and our shop staff will be happy to help you with installation.
