    Product description

FLOAT AND POWER FROM THE SUMMIT TO THE SLOPES - THE ROME RAVINE SELECT

No slope is too steep or too hard for the Rome Ravine Select. Designed to explore the backcountry with you, tackle every cliff and do some carving along the way.
With a free-the-ride camber profile and a Directional Diamond 3D shape, the Ravine Select is well equipped for deep snowy lines in the backcountry. New for this season are Flax Impact Plates and Flax Walls. You'll enjoy a vibration-free ride and get more out of your board.

    Riding style
An all-mountain/freeride board for advanced riders. A versatile deck for high-speed turns on the piste and in the backcountry. Especially after a decent snowfall, you get everything out of the Ravine.

    Shape
The tapered directional shape is perfect for all-mountain riding and freeriding. The nose is slightly wider than the tail for controlled turns in any terrain. The offset of the bindings in the direction of the tail (setback) makes the nose a little longer for even more uplift in powder.

    Profile
The Free-The-Ride Camber profile comes with a positive camber in the tail, a flat camber on the front binding and a rocker in the nose. The positive camber offers pop and good edge hold. The flat section allows for easy and quick turn initiation. The rocker in the nose increases buoyancy in powder. The Diamond 3D profile is essentially a 3D shaped nose. Just like the shape of a spoon, this lifts the contact points off the snow to prevent catching edge and increase uplift in pow. Without compromising stability, pop or grip on hard snow.

    Flex
The hard flex makes the board hard enough for powerful turns, offers you support and a fast response.

    Construction
The Superpop Core is the lightest core in the Rome range and features alternating zones of poplar and paulownia. The Sinterspeed Base offers the highest wax absorption and best speed with good maintenance. HotRods are thin tubes made of carbon, bamboo or fibreglass and are embedded in milled channels in the wooden core of the board. In the case of the Ravine Select, there are two carbon hotrods in the tail for fast response and snap. The flex and pop can thus be precisely placed and changed. Impact Plates under the bindings also provide a smoother ride with less vibration at high speeds.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.

    About Rome

Rome SDS lives and breathes snowboarding and has done so since day one. Seeking to reestablish the true roots of snowboarding, Rome kicked off production is 2001. Their goal was to create a brand that "lives the values of snowboarding and innovates products that increase the one thing that matters most in snowboarding: fun." They have overshot their goal by miles, and as true snowboarders at heart, we are stoked to have them as a part of our team.
