Product description
The North Shore 114 can handle high speeds and the gnarliest lines in big mountain terrain
The North Shore 114 is RMU's Big-Mountain ski and made for all those who are looking for a progressive ski for big mountain terrain. The five-point design allows the ski rail turns just as prominently as a ski with a narrower profile. The progressive radius gives the ski more control at higher speeds and helps you maintain control when arcing big turns in gnarly terrain.
Riding Style
A freeride/powder ski for advanced level riders. Shape, design, profile and construction have been specially designed to deliver the best performance in powder. Maximum flotation and manoeuvrability for deepest snow.
Shape
The nose of the directional shape is slightly wider than the tail. The binding and the sidecut are slightly set back towards the tail. This increases stability at higher speeds and the float in soft snow. The 5-point shape has five different widths that make up the sidecut dimensions. This allows the ski to have a shorter turning radius on hardpack but when in deeper snow the full edge is engaged.
Profile
This ski comes with a classic camber under the binding and a rocker in the nose and tail. The enormous float of the rockered tips improves manoeuvrability in deep snow while the camber underfoot provides edge hold, pop and response.
Construction
The sintered base is an industry standard for quality base materials. It provides a good balance between the speed created by a hard surface and good wax retention.

Freeskis are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new skis should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
