    Product description

Deepest carving turns in all snow conditions, with a playful, soft flex - good times guaranteed with the Line Sakana, everywhere on the mountain

LINE and Eric Pollard have come together to design the Sakana: a versatile 105 mm waisted swallowtail ski with mature deep snow DNA. The unique shape makes the ski very versatile and offers an incredibly smooth ride, allowing you to fine-tune your carving turns anywhere on the mountain. The Sakana embraces a fluid, refined ski experience unlike anything else, in every type of terrain.

    Riding Style
An all-mountain/freeride ski for intermediate to advanced level riders. Shape, design, profile and construction have been specially designed to deliver the best performance in powder. The soft flex and the refined shape also make the Sakana a smooth all-mountain ski, ideal for surfy turns anywhere on the mountain.

    Shape
The tip of the directional shape is slightly longer than the tail. The binding and the sidecut are slightly set back towards the tail. This increases stability at higher speeds and the float in powder. The Swallowtail increases the effective edge at a short ski length for quick, buoyant, snappy turns in powder. At the 5-Cut™ geometry, five different radii shapes are blended into the ski's sidecut. This technology cleverly allows the skis to comfortably make different turn shapes, long, medium and short turns are all super easy.

    Profile
This ski comes with a classic camber under the binding and a rocker area in the nose. The enormous float of the rockered nose improves manoeuvrability in deep snow while the camber underfoot provides edge hold and response.

    Flex
At the Directional Flex, the softer tip floats and initiates turns easily while the stiffer tail provides power, stability & high-speed control.

    Construction
The Partly Cloudy Core is a lightweight full wood Paulownia/Maple core offering the very best strength to weight ratio. The sintered base is an industry standard for quality base materials. Provides a great balance between the speed created by a hard surface and good wax retention.

    More information

Subject to alterations according to the manufacturer. Image is non-binding.

Freeskis are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new skis should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.

    About Line

#morefunner - do we need to say more? Line took the freeski market by storm as early as 1995, picking up on the desire among skiers to simply have more fun. They saw the need for twin tip skis, and set about making it a reality. They have been on top of their game since day one and it comes as no surprise that they are backed up by one of the most star-spangled freeride and freestyle teams on the market.
