Product description
The Line Pescado defines what it means to surf in powder
The Pescado is a directional pow-surf ski from the pen of Eric Pollard and plays in a league of its own. The soft flex, in combination with a large nose and a swallowtail, gives you your very own riding experience in deep powder. Optimised for maximum riding pleasure, the Pescado combines the best of surfing, art and skiing.
Riding style
A freeride/powder ski for advanced riders. With the 125 mm waist you will float easily in powder. The whole design of the Pescado has been adapted to work perfectly in one direction, forward. Instead of concentrating on leaning back, the Pescado gives you a smooth ride in the powder. Just relax and concentrate on your line.
Shape
The tapered directional shape is perfect for backcountry and freeriding. The nose is wider than the tail for controlled turns in any terrain. The offset of the bindings in the direction of the tail (setback) makes the nose a little longer for even more uplift in powder. The swallowtail extends the effective edge at short ski length, for fast, lively turns in the powder. With the 5-Cut™ geometry, five radii are incorporated into the lateral shape of the ski. This makes the ski easy to release from the turn and gives you excellent gliding and turning characteristics.
Profile
This ski comes with a classic camber under the binding and a huge rocker in the nose. This keeps the ski extremely manoeuvrable in powder and gives it an enormous uplift. The camber offers you good edge hold and fast power transmission.
Flex
With Directional Flex™, the softer nose offers plenty of lift and easy turns, while the stiffer tail provides power, stability and high-speed control.
Construction
The Partly Cloudy™ Core is a very light paulownia/maple wood core and offers the best weight to power ratio. The sintered base is an industry standard for high-quality surfaces. It offers a good balance between the speed achieved by a hard surface and good wax absorbance. The continuous sidewall made of polyethylene absorbs vibrations and ensures excellent energy transfer to the edges.

Freeskis are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new skis should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
