Product description
Short and wide - the agile freeride board for big gentlemen
The Stump Ape is a short, wide directional board for big riders. The large surface area and short length give the board enormous manoeuvrability and good float, ideal for technical terrain and the deepest powder. The Horsepower construction also makes the board very light. The extra wide shape ensures that the toe and heel area does not protrude even with the largest boots.
This board is volume shifted, Lib Tech recommends choosing the board 5 to 10 cm shorter than your preferred board length.
Riding style
This board is perfect for you if you are an advanced rider always on the hunt for untouched powder slopes and deep carving turns. The short, wide construction makes it very manoeuvrable and perfect for challenging, narrow terrain.
Shape
The tapered directional shape is perfect for all-mountain and freeriding. The nose is longer and wider than the tail for controlled turns in any terrain. The additional setback of the bindings gives the board a lot of uplift in powder. The Magne-Traction® technology provides improved edge hold with serrated edges. Especially on icy slopes they unfold their full potential.
Profile
The C2x profile comes with a short rocker between the bindings combined with a large camber underneath the bindings. This combination offers a good edge hold thanks to the camber areas, as well as good uplift and unlimited freestyle action without catching an edge thanks to the rocker.
Flex
The medium-stiff flex ensures precise control and fast board response.
Construction
The 'Horsepower Construction' HP is even lighter than the 'Original Power Construction' OP, more environmentally friendly through the use of organic beans and basalt fibres and offers an extremely smooth ride. The core made of Aspen and Paulownia wood is robust and provides you with a lot of pop. The base and topsheet are made from eco-sublimated materials, and the TNT base is also very fast with low maintenance.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
