Product description
The best edge hold on ice combined with maximum stability and pop
The Hot Knife is an aggressive camber board with C3 technology, designed around how you activate your snowboard. Like the name predicts, holding your edge on snow and ice will be as easy as slicing a hot knife through butter thanks to the magne-traction serrated edges. Incredible power, pop and stability and a little extra float in pow.
Riding Style
The Hot Knife is an aggressive twin freestyle board that enables intermediate to pro riders to show their freestyle skills all over the mountain.
Shape
This snowboard comes in a Twin Freestyle shape. Tip and tail are of equal length and width combined with a centred radial sidecut. The snowboard rides equally well in both directions with a focus on jib, freestyle, park, powder and pipe. The Magne-Traction serrated edges give great edge hold all over the mountain, especially on hard pack and ice. They turn ice into powder.
Profile
The C3 profile features a mild rocker between the feet while the rest of the board is profiled like a standard camber. This profile offers an aggressive ride that provides a lot of control and response in every terrain. The mild rocker will give the board just a little bit more playfulness and float than standard camber profiles, while not compromising the positive properties of camber. Some benefits for the advanced riders are precise edge control, maximum stability for high jumps and landings and fast lines.
Flex
The Flex on the Hot Knife is medium, this gives the board a balanced feel. It’s hard enough to stay in control on hard charged mountain lines or bigger kickers, but it still has enough flex for advanced powder buttering.
Construction
The original power construction OP is a very lightweight, environmentally nice and strong construction design of Lib Tech. The core consists of a strong Aspen spine with Columbian Gold on either side, giving you a strong and light core with a crisp pop. Bi-ax and Tri-Ax glass surrounds the wood core and adds the needed stiffness and durability. Birch Internal Sidewalls are placed along the sidewall of your board to add board control to the sandwich construction. Stronger, more pop, and more control. The TnT Base features a fast and low maintenance dual layered fluoro base material. Wax it or maybe skip a day. The UHMW Sintered Sidewalls are a Lib Tech innovation. Twice as sintered as any other sidewall. Tough, fast, hard, waterproof, handsome and light. NO TOXIC ABS! Due to the edges, which do not go throughout at tip and tail, these areas are protected by a 'UHMW Tip/Tail impact deflection' system to avoid damage. Finally, the Eco Sublimated Poly Topsheet features a tough and eco-sublimated layer to complete the construction.
This board is also available in 'Wide' version. These are wider than normal boards and developed especially for snowboarders with large feet (EU size 44+) to avoid too much overhang of the boots. Wider boards also give you better float in powder.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
