Product description
Surfing snow
The K2 Cool Bean is entirely different than your normal snowboard. A different shape can expand the way you look at the terrain and adding new depth to your snowboarding journey. The width and shape of the Cool Bean offers new possibilities when carving groomers and a surfy float in powder. This board looks weird but it will make you smile all day long once you tried it. The Cool Bean is the most fun board you’ve had in a long time.
Riding style
The Cool Bean is for creative riders that want to experience a whole new way of snowboarding. The board offers massive float in powder and a fast manoeuvrability on slopes.
Shape
Directional is the classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still giving you plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or condition. A tapered shape means the nose is wider than the tail, promoting smooth turn entry and exit, stability at speed, and enhanced deep snow flotation. The greater amount of volume in front of you will allow for effortless turning in deep or soft snow and increase the float of your board tremendously. The Swallow Tail is tuned for powder glide and groomer carves.
Profile
The Directional Rocker Baseline™ is an all-purpose profile designed to be the perfect companion for the all-terrain snowboarder. Directional Rocker Baseline™ has a medium-rise in the tip, a lower rise in the tail, and a flat section between your bindings, allowing for effortless turns on hardpack and ample float in soft snow and crud. Tweekend™ is a revolutionary tweak to the ends of the baseline. By extending the baseline all the way out to the absolute ends of the board, new ride-able surface is unlocked, giving you a bigger, more stable platform to press, float and land on.
Construction
Volume Shift™ moves volume from the tips and tails of traditional snowboard shapes and placed it underfoot where it can be better controlled. This makes a wider, shorter design that maintains the same float and stability of a traditional board but increases mobility and manoeuvrability. Hybritech™ is the most efficient way to make a snowboard without sacrificing performance. Featuring sidewalls along the running surface that flows into the tip and tail, reducing swing-weight, optimizing turn initiation, and providing unrivalled durability.
The BAP Core is made of three species of renewable timber to assemble a core that’s strong, lightweight, and designed to enhance dampening without the addition of other materials. Biax Fibreglass features a jib-friendly, torsionally soft flex and forgiving, park-friendly feel. The Sintered 4000 base absorbs wax deep into the material for relentless glide and unrivalled durability.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
