The Ultra Stratos is a new splitboard in the Jones line. An experiment that cannot be pigeonholed. A hybrid all-mountain board with the soul of a directional freeride board and the heart of a freestyle board. The Ultra Stratos brings everything you love about the regular Stratos, but gets even lighter and better with Ultra construction and Fusion Carbon technology. Furthermore, additional damping, Power Plates, were installed on the edges. They provide less vibration and more pop.

Riding style
The Ultra Stratos is a splitboard that has no limits and, above all, no limits for you. Creative riders who see a challenge in every line will love this board.

Shape
The Tapered Directional Shape is versatile in the resort and shows its strength in the backcountry. The pop is concentrated in the tail and provides ample float and control in all terrain and snow conditions. Taper means a narrower tail than nose, which provides more float in deep snow because the tail sinks in more easily and thus lifts the nose out. In addition, the blunt nose ensures that less snow is carried backwards over the sides of the nose. This means you get the benefits of a longer traditional nose, without the extra weight. Traction Tech 3.0, the corrugated edge, ensures the best edge hold in all conditions.

Profile
The Directional Rocker consists of a camber between the bindings and a larger rocker at the nose than at the tail. This keeps the board extremely manoeuvrable in pow and gives it additional buoyancy. The camber offers you good edge hold and fast power transmission. The slightly rockered tail increases power transmission and stability. The freeride-focused 3D Base Contour 3.0 comes with a balanced 7 mm upturn in nose and tail. The bending up of the base starts at the rocker.

Flex
The medium flex combines response and playfulness.

Construction
The Jones Ultra construction eliminates all unnecessary materials. In combination with the super light wood core you get one of the most stable and lightest boards on the market. The new FSC™ Fusion Core is the lightest core yet. The core is made of paulownia with poplar wood in selected areas for longer durability and more response. Fusion Carbon technology, used exclusively on very special Jones Premium boards, involves fusing multiple layers of carbon fibres to the core using epoxy. This makes the board extremely light and durable. Bio Resin is plant-based and is used instead of petroleum-based epoxy. For the outer edges, Jones proven, recycled and extremely durable steel edges are used, for the inner edges, thin recycled edges for weight saving. In addition, Jones uses recycled Rounded ABS, which extends the life of the topsheet. The ECO-plastic textured topsheet made from environmentally-friendly castor seeds is lightweight and durable. The construction is rounded off by the Ultra Base, the high-end base by Jones, which is only used on selected boards.
The Ultracraft comes with exclusive Karakoram 3C UltraClips with low weight and a 3-point tensioning system and tip locks. 

Karakoram clips
The Solution Split comes with Karakoram UltraClips 2.0 and Tip Locks. The adjustable tension of the Ultra Clips brings the two halves of your splitboard together unsurpassed. Stainless steel reinforcements are embedded in the nose and tail for increased tip resistance.
