The Carbon Solution has found a more than worthy successor: The Ultra Solution. With Ultra construction and Carbon Fusion technology, this board is not only a true lightweight with the very best materials, but also a splitboard for powerful riders looking for a responsive board to push the limits in the backcountry.
New for 21/22, the Ultra Solution has been upgraded with the Karakoram 3C Clips - an exclusive Jones Clip with an ultra-light three-point tensioning system.

Shape 
The Solution comes with a directional shape that makes high speeds super easy and offers you good floatation. Taper means a narrower tail than nose, this provides more floatation in deep snow. In deep snow the Blunt Nose makes sure less snow comes over the sides of your nose than it would with a regular shape. This means you get the benefits of a longer traditional nose, without the extra weight. Traction Tech 2.0, the corrugated edge, ensures the best edge hold in all conditions.

Profile
The Directional Rocker consists of a camber between the legs and a larger rocker at the nose than at the tail. This keeps the board extremely manoeuvrable in pow and gives it additional buoyancy. The camber offers you good edge hold and fast power transmission. The slightly rockered tail increases power transmission and stability. The freeride-focused 3D Base Contour 3.0 comes with a balanced 7 mm upturn in nose and tail. The bending up of the base starts at the rocker.

Flex
A stiff flex (10/10) will ensure very precise response and control.

Construction
The Jones Ultra construction eliminates all unnecessary materials. In combination with the super light wood core you get one of the most stable and lightest boards on the market. The new FSC™ Fusion Core is the lightest core yet. The core is made of paulownia with poplar wood in selected areas for longer durability and more response. Fusion Carbon technology, used exclusively on very special Jones Top boards, involves fusing multiple layers of carbon fibres to the core using epoxy. This makes the board extremely light and durable. Bio Resin is plant-based and is used instead of petroleum-based epoxy. For the outer edges Jones proven oversized recycled and extremely durable steel edges are used, for the inner edges the new thin recycled edges for weight saving. Jones also uses recycled Rounded ABS, which extends the life of the topsheet. The ECO-Plastic Textured Topsheet made from environmentally friendly castor seeds is lightweight and durable. The construction is rounded off by the Ultra Base, the high-end base from Jones, which is only used on selected boards.
The Ultra Solution comes with exclusive Karakoram 3C UltraClips with low weight and a 3-point tensioning system and tip locks.
