Product description
Ten years in, still the freeride favorite
It´s a match. That´s the feeling you will have when you ride the Jones Flagship for the first time. The Flagship has won many awards, and rightly so. Technical terrain and steep faces are where the Flagship feels at home. The freeride board floats and puts an even bigger smile on your face on every powder day.
Riding Style
This snowboard was born for exactly one reason: to set new freeride standards!
Shape
The Flagship comes with a tapered directional shape that makes high speed runs super easy and it offers amazing floatation. A directional shape is the classic, most versatile snowboard shape. The pop is concentrated in the tail and provides plenty of float and control in all terrain and snow conditions. Taper means a narrower tail than nose, offering more floatation in deep pow. You will enjoy less snow being carried back over the sides of the nose thanks to the Blunt Nose. Therefore you can enjoy all the benefits of a traditional nose and save weight. Traction Tech 3.0, the serrated edge, provides the best edge hold in all conditions.
Profile
The Directional Rocker consists of a camber between the legs and a more intense rocker at the nose than at the tail. This keeps the board extremely manoeuvrable in pow and gives it extra float. The camber provides good edge hold and fast power transmission. The slightly rockered tail increases power transmission and stability. It also reduces the chance of falling during switch landings.
The freeride-focused 3D Base Contour 3.0 comes with a balanced 7mm rise in nose and tail. The bending up of the base starts at the rocker.
Flex
With the Flagship's stiff flex (8/10), you can easily handle high-speed runs and enjoy an exceptionally precise ride.
Construction
The FSC™ Power Core features hardwood bamboo stringers for added pop and durability and paulownia for weight savings. The Sustainable Flax/Basalt stringers are made from 100% natural fibres. The composite flax and basalt stringers improve power transmission to the edges, torsional response and provide a smoother run. Triax fibreglass provides response and control in all terrain and conditions. Super Sap Bio Resin is plant-based, making production a little more environmentally friendly. The FSC™ Engineered Veneer Topsheet absorbs shock. The sintered 9900 Base is made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) and carbon. This ultra-fast base is easy to repair.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
