Patagonia R1 Yulex Chest Zip Wetsuit - highly elastic wetsuit with a warm thermal lining
Patagonia's Yulex® wetsuits are made without neoprene and are produced in a Fair Trade-Certified™ factory. These wetsuits consist of 85% natural rubber and 15% synthetic rubber by polymer content. By replacing petroleum-based materials with plant-based alternatives, they provide the same warmth and performance as traditional stretch neoprene while reducing CO2 emissions during manufacturing by up to 80%. The materials used are certified by the Rainforest Alliance and the Forest Stewardship Council®. Patagonia combines natural rubber with chlorine-free synthetic rubber to enhance resistance to ozone and UV rays, while ensuring that the wetsuits meet high standards for strength, elongation, and durability.
- Elastic material with a polymer content of 85 % Yulex™ natural rubber and 15 % chlorine-free synthetic rubber
- The natural rubber has an FSC® certificate from the Rainforest Alliance.
- Torso and thighs with spun-dyed microgrid thermal lining made from 95 % polyester (51 % recycled) and 5 % recycled elastane that dries quickly and is super warm and supple
- Elastic, spun-dyed lining in sleeves and legs with solvent-free AquaA™ adhesive
- All seams sealed from the outside to maximize tightness and durability
- Triple taped blind seams throughout, additionally taped with a comfortable thin tape from the inside
- Asymmetrical front flap with replaceable, stainless steel Salmi® zipper
- Easily accessible lanyard inside
