Thanks to merino, you can enjoy a WHOLE NEW LEVEL OF OUTDOOR COMFORT. The outer layer of Ortovox hats is 100 % merino wool, KEEPING YOUR HEAD AT THE OPTIMAL TEMPERATURE and simultaneously regulating excess moisture. For the inner layer Ortovox use Ortovox proven super-soft blend of merino wool and Lenzing Modal®, a natural cellulose fiber obtained from beech wood.
It’s the combination that counts! Ortovox PATCHWORK beanie combines style, color and functionality. This hat with its various color combinations is the perfect companion during the cold season: whether on a ski tour, an evening in the cabin or in everyday life – the Merino wool provides comfort, warmth and maximum functionality. MERINO SUPERSOFT on the inside also prevents uncomfortable scratching.
THE NATURAL PARADISE OF TASMANIA
Incidentally, 100 % of the merino wool from this collection comes from the Australian island of Tasmania. The wool from this natural paradise is high-quality, thin (18 microns), and tear-resistant. But just as important for ORTOVOX, the material is ethically and ecologically sound. Ortovox have very high expectations for the farmers. A large portion of their working time is committed to ensuring sustainable farm management and animal welfare.
Ortovox came to life when Gerald Kampel and Jürgen Wegner developed the first double frequency transceiver to aid in avalanche victim searches. They have since grown into one of the biggest producers of avalanche safety gear on the market. In 1995 they added merino underwear to their selection, and we have been hooked ever since!
