The story of HAE began in the winter of 2006 during a snowboard trip to Mammoth, California. When Mat couldn’t find a beanie that fit over his dreadlocks, he grabbed some yarn from a small shop and crocheted his own. Back in Switzerland, that spontaneous idea turned into a brand with purpose. Today, HAE designs and tests its products in the heart of the Alps under real conditions. HAE stands for lasting quality, fair production in Europe and their love for nature and life in the mountains.
