What happens when freeride legend Jeremy Jones collaborates with surf shaper Chris Christenson? You’ll get a snowboard to surf pow lines and a fun machine for the whole mountain. Lucky us, the Mind Expander is also available for young shredders: The Mini Mind Expander. This board is fun in every terrain and gives you a surf feeling you never knew before when snowboarding.

The Mini Mind Expander brings snowboard meets surf to a new level. The playful all mountain board is fun on any terrain!

Shape
The sidecut and flex, as well as the inserts of the Hybrid Directional Shape, are moved to the back. Combined with the Spoon 1.0 Base, a freeride focused 3D-base contour featuring an even balance of 2mm of spoon bevel in the nose and 2mm of spoon bevel in the tail, floatation is guaranteed. Edges like a serrated knife slicing into the snow, Traction Tech 1.0 improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of your board.

Profile
Custom tip/tail rocker profile designed by surf shaper Chris Christenson for the Mini Mind Expander. The nose rocker starts just inside of the front inserts and the tail rocker starts just at the back inserts. When you weight the tail of the board the nose ramps up out of the snow for insane float on the deepest days. These subtle rocker contours match a Christenson surfboard rocker profile.

Flex
A medium flex (5/10) will ensure precise response, yet with enough flex to butter and jib.

Construction
The heart of the Mini Mind Expander is full wood Classic Core made of premium poplar that offers fun pop, even flex and solid durability. A dual-direction, dual-layer, stitched fibreglass laminate provides a fun, forgiving and snappy ride. The Bio-plastic Topsheet is made from Castor beans. This eco-material is ultralight, chip/scratch resistant and water/snow repellent (snow sticks less to topsheet). The Sintered 7000 Base consists of a durable natural base material with added carbon for speed and good wax absorbency. All Jones Snowboards are factory tuned at the tip and tail so you can go right from the shop to the mountain.
